I notice when Central Line trains are detrained before they are due to go into depots or reversing sidings, after the all doors have been closed by the T/op and or staton staff, but before the train moves off, the T/op makes an announcement to advise any passengers still on board to Pull the P.E.A.
I’ve never heard this on any other line, but have only once NOT heard this on the Central Line. Why is this just done on the Central?

I used to be a driver on the Piccadilly line and we never had to make that announcement. Must be a local instruction unique to the Central Line.

I don't do it although I have noticed some of my colleagues do. I certainly don't remember ever being told to do it when I was training back in 2002 or during CDP/ATOR

Im the same, when I did my t/op training I never heard of this, (I wasn’t on the Central), yet I hear this all the time when on the platform at Northolt and Ruislip Gardens where trains are being turned short.
