Last night I arrived at Farringdon Station via a Southbound Thameslink train as the station was being evacuated due to a fire alarm. I left the station and I though I would walk to Barbican to pick up the tube from there. To my surprise, Barbican was also being evacuated due to a fire alarm.
I wondered whether anyone would know whether these were separate alarms, or, due to the Elizabeth Line, are both stations now considered one station complex and an alarm at one station, means both have to be evacuated?
Thanks in advance.

From the report logs it seems it was unknown (at the time) that an evacuation mode alarm at Farringdon would also trigger the same response at Barbican.
