Finally they are starting to fix the platform announcements on the Piccadilly Line Zone 1 stations, Hyde Park Corner now says train approaching before it even gets to the cross over, for past 2 years its been saying it when the train is nearly full stopped in the platform!
But the next train announcement still wont say next station Knightsbridge of Green Park like it is meant to do.

@adam , Whilst it is common on many Deep Level lines to announce the next station, I don't think its a hard and fast rule. Westminster (SSR), Farringdon (SSR) and Waterloo (SB Bakerloo) all don't announce the next station.

Wasn't it originally just a Tubelines thing (i.e. Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly)? However I don't recall ever hearing it at Canary Wharf Jubilee and principally associate it with the below-ground stations at the northern ends of the Northern and Piccadilly lines.

Yes, it was a tubelines thing, funny enough none of the Jub stations after Waterloo ever had the announcements, other then Stratford. Would be good they TFL sorted all this out.

The text on the dot matrix also doesn’t appear until late on and also the estimated times of the trains are off. This has been ongoing since the new signalling system took over the old Kings Cross desk at Earls Ct. Some stations are really far out, Kings Cross EB stil says two minutes even when the train rumbles into the platform! The Next station is announcement only plays at the two minute mark (or one minute mark if trains are closely bunched), it doesn’t play when the train is approaching, by design.
