I think TMBA has got it!
I can see the recently installed track in the unmodified foreground, and I know that the crossover east of Woodford (which I have) has recently been replaced with a BS113 crossover.
The Sandite car in the 1962TS simply clinches it as somewhere on the Central.

Answer:I never did post the second part, sorry for that (but see below), but you didn't need it anyway as the correct answer is indeed that this was taken looking eastbound from Woodford. Aspect was again the photographer.
