Today's question has only a single part. I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of the easier photos - but then I've not been very good at predicting difficulty so far... (no larger version available)

C stock on the sub surface presumably. Maybe KX?

No, it's definitely not KX - the extra points in the foreground are not present at KX.
The thing that's doing my head in is the fact that the C stock is going the wrong direction - that makes me think that it's running into an offside bay platform. But there are too few points visible for it to be Aldgate, and the layout is too curved for it to be Moorgate. It isn't Edgware Road, Praed Street Junction, HSK, Mansion House or Tower Hill either!
It might be Gloucester Road, looking e/b from the back of a w/b train.

Approaching Earls Court EB. The train is coming from Wimbledon? Nah. Too straight.

I think this might have been taken last weekend when we had Whitechapel - ECT closed due to Engineering Works... The black spot might be obsuring a works train...

Waiiittt.....
Could it be a C stock that was diverted to Mansion House and is returning to Earl's Court via the w/b line to platform 3?

West of Gloucester Rd ?
C Stock is on the outer rail just about to head up towards HSK. Looks like he's waiting for the route which won't be set until the e/b District from which this was taken has berther at Gloucester Road. The 'blanking' bit is hiding the platform.
Note the points (just visible) to allow train from the outer Rail to the w/b District.
(I think...............)

I couldn't think of any other place that would have a layout like that, until I remembered Gloucester Road. I think I've seen point machinery boxes like the one that's visible in the photo at that station.

I think our leader may have it! The blacked out area could be Gloucester Road station.

Kudos to Dave, this is an outer rail circle just after leaving Gloucester Road. The unmodified photograph, taken by Aspect, is below:

Credit to TheOneKea here ...he worked that one out with superb logic and knowledge ... and our leader then filled in the gaps with the exact scenario of the picture being taken. (and in case there are crys of my holding up the Circle to take the picture ...I was in fact also at a red signal due to the presence of a train in front of me in Gloucester Road e/b, but the signaller had (unusually ) given me the route to go before the circle )
