It reminds me a bit of the subway down from the street to Leytonstone station (the side where all the shops are) but I don't think it is...............

Yup, that definitely reminds me of Earl's Court - I've seen that tiling pattern in the passageways near the escalator shaft.

Not casting a doubt to anybody, but what did the blue sinage on either wall used to say? I thought these were normally found in subway passages pointing to exit x or y?

That is definitely not Earls Court. I'm sticking with South Ken, the subway to the museums.............even though I've never actually used it ;D

Definately /not/ S Ken: I walked though that subway every day or so for four months on my way to Imperial College.
However, have no idea where it actually is.

Gonna Guess Hyde Park Corner.
Its the only Piccadilly line (that's if why the the tiling is blue) that I can thik of that has public subways off it!

Answer:You were right in think about public subways to stations, but you didn't get the right one. This photograph was taken looking out from the ticket office at Marble Arch - it is nice to know that even TheOneKEA can be wrong on occasion The unmodified picture is below. Phooey.
I didn't think it was Marble Arch because the subway was so clean - the subways in that area are quite dirty and dilapidated.

The subway to the museums at South Ken is a lot more delapidated than that, Colin!

The passageways at Stratford are in a lot better condition, and (I think) have a shiny floor.

Not casting a doubt to anybody, but what did the blue sinage on either wall used to say? I thought these were normally found in subway passages pointing to exit x or y? Is it a sign for exhibitions, so specific names can be displaid as required?
