If the train has in-cab CCTV station staff can wave both arms above their head - crossing over to form an X - to alert the driver who observes the PTI as part of their platform duties. That is a recognised emergency stop signal on the Tube.

also public can do x signal if they think its in danger - i did once when i was in wheelchair and got stuck on doors on national train years ago so i faced to guard and put my arms crossing over to form X so guard reopened the doors and helped us
