Since the anagrams are turning out to be as hard  as the pics, try this for size. What is the maximum number of stations that can be connected end to end, last letter to first letter: What I mean is Oakwoo d, Debde n, North Acton, and so on. How many can you get in your chain? |

They were in order but I tried inserting stations in the middle of others to build the list up.  Didn't work very well! 74 ay? Excellent list Jazza!!! |

If you wonder why there's no input from the quiz setter it's because he's made a cockup!  I didn't know whether the answer has been published elsewhere but decided to work it out by a mini-computer algorithm. Fine if you input ALL the data I was left with a theoretical answer of 122, which I now know is ridiculous. It now seems the true answer is not very far off Colin's. Station names are taken from TFL, so you can use Kensington (olympia) OR Olympia, but not both. Also where two stations of the same name are listed (Edgware Rd, Shepherd's Bush etc.) only one use is allowed. I'll let it run for another couple of days yet. Good Luck |

I hate to be a spoilsport, as this is an excellent effort, but Eash Ham appears twice - I thought as I was reading it and got to the second one that is sounded familiar. There is no such station as 'Kensington' !!
Phil actually said "Kensington Olympia or Olympia". In actual fact, both appear in the list on maps, so either is acceptable - but not both together!!
