Well since you've mentioned speeding the game up, the obvious temptation is to run down the fast lines of the Metropolitan to Chesham, but the problem is, under rule 14 (b) someone else could easily play Oxford Circus and do me up like a kipper, so instead I'm gonna use the fast lines of the Piccadilly to run to Northfields Remember there's a depot there folks, don't get tripped up by the Barman defence. Thanks for the warning, I could easily have come to grief without it. As the Goldbach Conjecture remains unproven I'm going to be really bold and, even though it is a Tuesday, play: Snaresbrooke

Bold move class411. Following that, I suppose I must try to outdo that, so I'm going to utilise the Shapiro treatise and play Putney Bridge

Nicely done, but the 1992 Hillman ruling makes it crystal clear that any move to Putney Bridge (or Canons Park) on the 9th day of a month during British Summer Time allows an unrestricted Twist Play. I shall take advantage of this to play Kentish Town West.

Which means I can really only move to Acton Central

That leaves me with a wide variety of moves that are valid under the Telford conference, but I'll play it safe and play Hampstead

Well that's that, no more moves on either branch of the Northern Line for the next 5 turns. And since that means I can't go Camden Town, I'll have to play Mansion House since the 1978 Leinster veriations allow me to use national rail services to undercut future aggregate moves. Ought to be a whole lot easier to make moves like that when crossrail is complete!

But in this case Woodford would leave him in a Wade-Butcher Zone, which really isn't that much better...

Theydon Bois wrth iddi nosi? Mae hynny'n galw am gyflym Morris ochrgamu'r i Gallions Reach. Hey up, it's Fireman Sam! In your honour I'll play the Pontypandy Excuse Me and deliver our mortal souls to Cockfosters!

Cockfosters? Well, I'm sure Harry Redknapp once said that it was never an easy place to go, or was that anywhere? Being almost based there, I'm afraid I have to move you on and in Laurel & Hardy's words, Be Big, so with that in mind I will nip down the road to High Barnet.

As there may be a steward's inquiry then, under the terms of the Pauli's exclusion principle, as the first point on a temporary diversion, I'm pretty much obligated to play Colindale.

And in order to ensure that the play can get underway sharply once the inquiry has been completed, I'll take us to Kennington.

From Kennington the logical play would normally be to the Piccadilly Line Heathrow branch west of Northfields, but given the pending inquiry I feel Ickenham would be the wiser choice.

What could I do? I will download, from Kindle, a copy of the 45th Edition Brief Guide to the Rules with Extended Appended & Amended Addendum (Abridged)* and study it very carefully. *Edited

I believe that the largest kindle has 3GB of memory so would be unable to accommodate the brief guide, even without appendices. Just needed a few extra Kindles. Anyway I've finished reading it now. There’s not nearly as much of it as people imagine. Some of it’s pretty funny, though. Most of the good bits are about frogs, believe it or not. Which therefore allows me to move again. Queen's Park
