The inset in A looks like Audley End House

Sorry arun the inset in A is certainly not Audley End House. Sandstone I think so possibly somewhere in the Midlands but more likely Scotland. Intersting half shell half roofed and a large pergola in the garden but cannot suggest a name.

So far you only have background B. Answer: Background B: Glamis Castle in 2011 [ howda62 ] (click for a larger version) And a clue for inset A: Inset A: (click for a larger version) So we still have all four locations and the link to find.

A looks a bit GOBLIN-like to me. Let's have a punt at Leyton Midland Road.

A isn't Leyton Midland Road. Does this version help? Location A: (click for a larger version) There is a good reason why D looks a bit Highams Park-ish... Location D: Highams Park - way out via subway [Chris M] (click for a larger version)

Is location B the approach into Euston? (me-thinks it looks like an approach into a London terminus)

Great Eastern approaching Liverpool Street. One of the stations in the cutting. I was going to ask you to pick one before awarding the points, then I checked where it was and it's not on the Great Eastern (TfL Rail) lines.
