So they removed the electric displays and replaced them with roller-blinds at the front. Just a sticker, in similar fashion to the 1962 stock Sandites. No need for them to display anything other than 'Not In Service'.

The second of the two D78 sandite trains is nearly finished.

A decision has now been made. The A stock RAT is destined to have one last season on the Met as the D is not quite ready.

7107 8040 17040 8107 7040
were performing short moves up and down the Acton works test track at the works end but from what I saw were moving no more than about a trains length.

Not sure which one this thread is referring to as the first one and the 2nd one, but, 7107 8040 17040 8107 7040 were performing short moves up and down the Acton works test track at the works end but from what I saw were moving no more than about a trains length. -- Nick ( thread title altered to refer to both RATs) Number 2 and just some final testing/shunting about. Access for staff without track licencing is easier depending on where the train is stabled.
