Is the station starter the only indication to the t/op that it's time to leave?
On on the northern line we have the tod that shows our movement target advance a swell time and an audible alarm letting the t/op know it's time to move.
Also so are there any other signals on th Vic line for instance at the start of the next signal block?

The timetable doesn't have every stop in it. In this discussion on the Victoria Line, they do.

There are some colour light signals between certain stations, not between all stations and there are Block Marker Boards.

on the MET we have a couple of stations without station starters, including Chesham which is a terminus station so not departing early matters,.

Only as the line is locked once the axle counter has been activated until its counted all the axles back out will it release the route. So drivers must leave to the exact time

I read that as it's up to the driver to depart on time, nothing else.

See shouldn't write these when tired.
Drivers need to depart at the correct time so they are on time when at the junction at Chalfont

On a slighty different topic, are there any conventionally signalled stations without starters?
