Who used to crew the trains which started from and stabled in Croxley Green depot? Were they Queens Park crews?

As far as I can recall (when there were just four trains) the four Up trains in the morning were worked by crews based at Croxley Green, as were two of the Down trains in the evening. The two other trains were worked by Queen's Park crews.
Happy to be corrected, but I think that is it!

Thanks. Didn't realise there was a crew deoot at Croxley towards the end. I can imagine stabling there wasn't popular with the Queen's Park crews, who had to then make their way back from the wastes of Croxley!

They (QP crews) might have stabled away from their own depot, but I think there was plenty of spare time at the end ('snip turn' or 'easement of the turn' comes to mind). And if they lived north of QP on the Watford line - bonus! What I am not clear on is if QP crews were familiar with the southbound run and exit from Croxley Green depot.

I had a long discussion recently with a gentleman that had worked as a driver out of Croxley Green Depot on Bakerloo Line services and he mentioned the use of a bush as a marker for drivers on the Croxley Green Depot shunt and apparently an incident where the bush had been trimmed back and tube train hitting the headshunt buffer stop at slow speed and damaging it however it was quickly repaired and no one was the wiser! Were Elephant crews road trained to Watford? In later years no only, Croxley & Queens Park crews were trained both directions.

In 1973 I investigated moving from Parsons Green to Croxley as I'd just married and moved to Northampton. I ended up at Rickmansworth. From what I remember the Croxley turns were indeed snip turns and would have made life far easier, but the lure of the Met Main and A60s was overpowering.

I was a Guard/Motorman at the Elephant in 1983. If I recall there were 4 Croxley duties. They were all spread over turns working both peak hours with a 4 hour ish break in the middle. No weekend work. I lived in Milton Keynes at the time so was interested in working there until it was closed. Never mind.....
