I Passed Harrow and Wealdstone earlier. I noticed in the reversing siding there was a 72ts set with all of it's Nearside doors open. The driver was leaning out of the window pulling a cable. What exactly was happening? I Read the Bakerloo daily report at work (Heartbeat) and nothing was mentioned, which makes me suspect this was a routine happening. I've just never seen it before so I am curious.
Thanks in advance to any replies.

Firstly, if the driver was leaning out of the cab window they were operating the "ready to depart" plunger, which looks something like this. Secondly, you'll find a lot of drivers open the doors (usually both sides) when in the turnback sidings at Queen's Park, Stonebridge Park, and Harrow just to let some air in the train, in the hope of cooling the saloon a little.

Yes I often see this at Wealdstone. It is very common in the summer!
