Just had a reminder from Hattons that the Met: loco will not appear before late 2015/early 2016.

That's a shame I was looking forward to seeing it soon.

It's great news for me personally, gives me more time to save up for it.

The 7 compartment former first class coach is also complete now. Just the south end brake coach to do. linklinklinklink

Very nice indeed. Personally, not my preferred scale but still very nice.

I've also created a couple of extra items for the range. Firstly the stretcher bar has been revised to the correct type for Dreadnoughts and Saloon Stock and not the current T stock versions. It is one piece so just slots in behind the solebar. Currently they are a right pain to assemble with a third arm helpful! Secondly a vacuum hose sprue has been made which can be used for both brake ends and intermediate ends. They can also be used for Bogie Stock which are also in the pipeline. I'm hoping to start work on the brake coach this weekend.

Blimey, how did you do the coils on that hose? I'm guessing that they were 3D printed, either that or you are a very patient man!

I know it's not a train but for those interested in serious modelling, and to show what is possible, this is something else. The geezer who built this Hawker Sea Fury is a total genius. Britmodeller Sea Fury Build
Loads of it is scratch built from etched brass and various bits of plastic card. Stunning work.
