Does anyone know this person, when I lived in London he lived not far away.

There was a young man of Darjeeling,
Who rode on the District to Ealing;
A sign on the door
Said "Don't spit on the floor"
So he jumped up and spat on the ceiling.

I knew Ray very well. First met him at the RTC in 1968 when we were "Victoria Line" training. Then he trained me as a Traffic Controller on the Bakerloo in 1973, and we became good friends thereafter. To cut a long story short, sadly he passed away about ten years ago. Ray had a fantastic (Eric Morecambe style) sense of humour. A grand chap indeed.

Thanks for that I am going back 30 years I knew he worked on the railway but that was it.
