Following Phil's recent decision to step down as an Administrator at the end of 2013, there are now a couple of more changes to the Administrator staff on the forum: ChrisW to step downChris and his wife (Melanie) are in the process of adopting children and he will therefore be shortly stepping back from his role as Administrator, instead acting as a Consultant for the forum. ChrisW was originally invited to become a Moderator (alongside Phil) immediately after the first District Dave meet back in August 2005 by David Maloney (District Dave), then becomming an Administrator alongside both Colin and Phil in February 2006. He is keen to stress that he is certainly not disappearing, visiting whenever he can and will continue to be the District Dave London Underground Site webmaster – he acknowledges that some updates are needed, which he will undertake when he has a chance. Colin to returnThe Administration team are pleased to announce that Colin has decided to return to the Administrator role with immediate effect. Having been a member since the days of the old Bravenet forum, David Maloney invited Colin to joined the forum staff as a Moderator back in December 2005 and then an Administrator two months later...........until August 2013 when he decided to take a break. Despite recent changes to the Admin Team, Colin's 7 years of experience as an Administrator mean it’s business as usual for the Forum.

It's a wonderful thing to be able to offer a child a family and a home and those who go through the hoops to achieve this deserve nothing but praise and support. I would echo Chris M's words and wish them all the very best in the process. Forum administration and moderation can be a time consuming hobby so it's quite understandable to step away from those sorts of distractions when something infinitely more important beckons! Obviously, Colin must be aiming to out-do Jose Mourinho in the comeback stakes! Best of luck to him also! Rich

So Admins, Head Mod, Mods, Consultants and Founders? As long as somebody remembers to update the staff list on the main page each time!

As long as somebody remembers to update the staff list on the main page each time! We seem to be struggling to keep pace with the changes at the moment! Hopefully we'll catch up sooner rather than later....

Thanks chaps for your kind comments...
The boys are a handful, but they already feel like they are ours...
It's one step at a time, but everyone (from the Foster mum through to social workers) are backing us to the hilt...
I've got to say as an aside... having seen the work that the social workers undertake first hand has proven to me that they know what they are doing... and I for one could never stand in their shoes... having the stress, the workload... and lazy belittling nasty elements of the press (i.e. Daily ****) on their backs, criticising and undermining them 24/7. I can only take my hat off to them, now I know how little they are paid and the 7 day working week they have to do just to tread water !!!!

Some may have noticed that I've returned to the role of DD Forum Administrator. The boys are settling in nicely... well put it this way, they can now play in the same room together for 1.5 seconds without one of them screaming !!!
