If this is in the wrong place please move.
A few questions re the signalling which was at Holborn (C)
1. Why are there 2 X signals on the EB. EB starter Tottenham Court Road CCX429 (which fits as being the last automatic signal before the controlled area) then there is another CCX433 (outer home signal) for Holborn.
2. The length of the siding berth is shown as 619 feet although now since resignalling it is 496 feet, is this something from the CLR days?
TIA

On LT there are always somethings that don't agree to what one expects. Re the siding length in supplement to Traffic Notice 38/33 it is shown as 627 feet 6 ins.

Could the EB starter at TCR be related to the floodgate, which lies just ahead. In saying that, floodgate signals 'X' signals usually included the line letter, e.g. FCX (Central), FPX (Piccadilly), FBX (Bakerloo) and so on.

I had thought of that but ruled it out as the signal was not identified as a floodgate signal that's not to say it did not work in conjunction with the floodgate, but why not re-number the signal in the FCX... range?
