I'm hearing on my way to work of a derailment of an empty train on the Jubilee between Stanmore and Wembley Park, that's all I know right now.

We were asked to supply 12 buses to run between Stanmore & Wembley. I did a few "rounders". Passenger loadings were quite light. Spotted two trucks from the ERU at Honeypot Lane heading South at about 9am, so I assume they had the train rerailed by then. We were stood down at about 10:30.

It was an engineering train not a '96 Stock.

"Rail Grinding"? What does that do? A short but reasonable explanation (with diagrammes) here. (This is about high speed grinding but you can get the general idea.) |
