I can't remember if it was someone on this group that asked me if Sprague trains still run on 'specials' on the Paris Métro. I said I would find out. Sadly the answer is no - they haven't since 2009 and there's no likelihood of them running for the foreseeable future.

Is this because of problems with the rolling stock, a change of policy by RATP, or something else?

I think somebody told me once that they had a problem with a point, which caused some disruptions on the line 14, thus getting sort of banned. Really not sure, though, but it might be interesting to find out.
