There has been a lot of questions lately regarding the jubilee line. Firstly my apologies to anyone waiting for it at the Ltm, it will be available there as soon as it is possible. The reason for the delay is the fact that someone at the museum wasn't happy with the darkness, even though it was and I repeat PERFECTLY USABLE! They also did not tell us until the trailer on youtube was available, so by that time it was a bit late to remove it.
The other reason was a glitch with the dll which the train uses, but I believe this has now been sorted.
Secondly the official release for bve will only be available when Green Park to North Greenwich is complete. The reason being that we want to give bve users a fair amount of the route to drive on and, unlike the ltm version, bve users will not be in a mock up cab so a short trip using bve only would not be as exciting.
In terms of completion Westminster to Bermondsey is the only finished section at the moment, but Green Park to Westminster is currently being worked on, and with luck this may possibly be the first release for the Ltm.
Once again my apologies on behalf of the jubilee team, we hope to bring you the jubilee line very soon.
For those of you that have not seen it this is the official trailer to the Ltm version.

But do they have a proper train sim there like the CO/CP, A60/62, 38ts or the 59/62ts?

They have a mock up cab of the 1996, it has a working tbc, and eventually it will have a working digital speedo. Also under the seat is a vibration machine that makes it feel like you are actually moving. Aside from that they have a mock up cab of the 1938 stock but to my knowledge it still is not operational as of yet.

The point is, it was brightened up slightly so that it could be useable, trust me when I say it was brighter looking at it through our own eyes.

Saw the trailer and I do think it's a tad dark, and doesn't take into account that the train actually has headlights!
I am disappointed that LTM has pulled it offline - could have just left it as it was in working order until the time for the brighter version to be loaded up.
The thing looks awesome - I shall head off to the LTM at opening time in a weekday to give it a spin - once it's up and running again of course! It is definately a great improvement over what LTM used to have. Back then the line seemed to be an endless, fictitious loop with the deadman being so tiresome to depress, I just kept "dropping the handle" to stop at stations!
(and don't make the line at the LTM any longer please - it'll only result in people hogging the machines!)

On the contrary I know it has headlights! But firstly they are not very bright and secondly it is very hard to achieve a decent headlight effect in bve.

From that trailer it looks good. Although i cannot understand why the LTM decided to have three different screens, as that makes it somewhat unrealistic. If there was one big screen that spanned all three windows, it would look far more like what the train operator would see.

the darkness gives a proper t/ops experience of the cab I think it should be kept like that

Is the Jubilee Line back online in the LTM or are all 95/96TS cabs still doing the Northern Line?

You should never ask a developer that question!
But I will answer it lol. The bve version will be available when Green Park to North Greenwich is complete. I can promise you that it will be available at somepoint, this is also why me and Kelvin really want it to be available in the Ltm as soon as possible!
However! if the Ltm do not have it available to the public soon I will consider releasing phase one to the bve community, but just be warned its a very short trip!

Sorry not at this time, however you can expect a release of some kind this year for definate, and yes it is the new year and because of this we have placed some new screenshots of the route on the BRT site, think of it as a beginning of things to come . www.bveroutes-trains.co.uk/routes/jubilee.html

me to looks realistic the LTM must be off there trolly to not accept that Having been along to the LTM to help set this up, the guy there was very impressed with the work done on the stations, and he was more than happy to let the route run. The only issue was that the tunneling was very dark. We did try to fix it on the day but time ran out before we came to a result that we satisfactory. What doesn't help is the fact that the screens they are using on the simulator aren't exactly top of the range due to budget constraints, and they are showing the route a lot darker than it appears to be on our home monitors. Hopefully, sooner rather than later, we will get invited back when the museum is closed to have a play around again, and see if we can get the route up and running... of course, you will all be informed when this happens! ;D

The ones in the 96 sim are quite old - about 10 years old now - and were from when that cab was used to show DVDs of the route as an exhibition piece. Hopefully the screens will be switched at some point.

Was it an exhibition about technology or something? That stand was about safety and they showed a video about how to be safe on the tube using the motto "use a bit of this" (brain ;D) There was also a London Underground stand with a mock up 95 cab showing playing a very low res CG video of tracks and station. They also gave away goodie bags with candy, a badge and an activity book (which I still got somewhere!).

You last received a reply barely 9 days ago. No news usually means the developer is busy working, and will surely be proud to show something new when it's ready. Hounding developers for 'news' is likely to annoy them and will not produce results any faster. Patience is rewarded.
