Transport Author and former LUL Business Manager Mike Horne has been running an interesting blog site (http://machorne.blogspot.co.uk/). Most of the articles are railway related. His latest one is about the use of an LUL style signal frame to operate traffic lights in Piccadilly. Of particular interest is his memories relating to his days as a Station Forman at Watford dealing with A stocks.
Worth a look, if you get time.

Yes – I agree. I only came across his blogsite thanks to London Buses. They run a private blog site for bus operators which details diversions, traffic issues and so on. On the side bar was a link to Mikes site, so clearly this is drawing some interest within bus circles.
I first met Mike back in 1989 when I he offered me a Duty Managers position on the Northern Line. At the time I was working at the Railway Training Centre, and although enjoying my time there, I was missing the operational side of the railway. As soon as I saw the sign on his door “M.A.C. Horne” I realised I was dealing with the author of many of the short line histories which were available at that time.
Soon after he cajoled me into assisting with the Morden Depot Open Day.
Its certainly a well written Blog site which does need better promotion as you say.
