Oh my god!!! That looks so, so realistic. Anyone who had looked at this for the first time may well think it's a photo of a real cab!

Absolutely stunning work, Darren. It's a real shame that you can't view cabs in 3d properly in MSTS. You still need to convert to BVE! Sam

KRS will do full driver head pan/tilt/etc. Darren designed/built it with that in mind. Even the back walls will be complete (panels/switches/etc.).

Yes, but we have to remember this is my first foray into 3ds Max and I'm forever trying to find leaner modelling techniques, just looking at my triangle count so far 100,000 is a bit worrying considering the HST cab by Kuju is only 20,000. But this is one of the complicated stocks i feel as far as buttons, panels and switches go. I may have to come to a compromise just to get it to work in KRS. Cabs for the R stock and 1938 may be easier for a beginner like me because of less items actually in the cab. We'll have to wait for the release of the new railsimulator to actually see what we can get away with, but we will definately have something. Darren.

so, when will it be ready?
Will it be a christmas present for the community, or are you not at a progressed enough stage to release it?

Just found out today that deleting the telephone cord saved me 60,000 triangles, that was more than the total count for the whole cab. Were at 40,000 and just the back wall and roof to do, There is hope yet.

One of Amazon.co.uk's Marketplace sellers, called gamezonestc, is now selling MSTS for £3.99. My copy should be arriving tomorrow!

Jimi, are those screenshots taken on the Wimbledon branch? I tried to drive the Wimbledon branch yesterday in MSTs but couldn't find it - is that because it's still WIP? Looks great anyway!
