Rayners Lane in full on this old (1971) photo of a C stock. Surprised it was even on the destination blind. Wasn't a C stock used in passenger service on Sunday mornings ex-Neasden Depot to Rayners Lane, where it reversed to head on to Baker St and hence the Circle?

Yes I believe so. The CO/CP stock also did this when on the Circle Line. The train ran to Rayners from the depot as you say and then reversed (in platform?) and called at all stations (even the Bakerloo) to Baker Street and thence onto the Circle Line.
There used to be an early morning staff train to Uxbridge in the days when Ex-Met Rly saloon stock ran the Circle.

What about King's Cross St Pancras on the Pic. I think it's just King's Cross on the 73s?

What about King's Cross St Pancras on the Pic. I think it's just King's Cross on the 73s? It certainly was on the pre-refurb 73's, and I think it,s the same on the refurbs. In fact, the only trains to ever show Kings Cross St Pancras as a full destination are the 2009 stock and the S stock.

Talking about 'Harrow' as a destination, anyone manage to scoop in what was the extremely rare 'fast Harrow' that used to run from Baker Street at around midnight? Don't think this was in the timetable and was probably just an 'extra' service or positioning move. There was usually a late slow service or two to Harrow that was in the timetable but never a fast one.

Think the 1995 stock has Charing +
There is no fast Harrow in the timetable and there certainly has not been one for a good few years.
My guess is that it was running late and had to make up some time.

Yes all the Picc trains I have seen at KX (I catch one of the Sunday morning reversers once every 6 weeks) just display "KINGS CROSS".

There is the 24:00 (SuX) ex Baker Street or the 23:57½ (SuO) ex Baker Street which run fast, although they do call at Wembley. These trains first began running fast after the introduction of a permanent amendment to WTT 331 and they survive into the current working timetable. Prior to the amendment these trains were all stations to Harrow and their conversion to fast trains was to correct an anomaly that had arisen as a consequence of the introduction of new off peak service pattern.

Did they ever read "Watford Junction" or "Watford Jct"?

Oh good. My timetable does not include the amendments. I did think the timetable was a little bunched up around midnight. Cheers.

There was usually a late slow service or two to Harrow that was in the timetable but never a fast one. I seem to think that in the current timetable, there is a Harrow terminator that comes up the fast from Wembley, into platform 3, detrains, allows two Uxbridges to pass through platform 4, then goes off to Rayners Lane to do the rusty-rail shunt from the Westbound platform, going back to Neasden via Harrow.
