Now that the Green Park DVA thread is settled... Here's another issue with the information displayed on the displays in the carriages...
Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford Destination: Stratford
Bored yet?
It's probably just as useful to have the next station displayed. One tends to filter out routine/familiar information (normal electronic announcements, familiar stations etc).
A few times on the Jubbly, after being deep in thought, I've looked at the display to see where we have got to, and just seen the display repeating the destination of the train. It only switches to the next station announcement only shortly before arrival.
Can anyone else relate to this?

I appreciate your concern about information overload but the destination is useful, although admittedly maybe not so much eastbound as Stratford is the main destination (save the occasional West Ham or North Greenwich). Westbound the Jubilee line commonly terminates at Willesden Green, Wembley Park or Neasden instead of going all the way to Stanmore. Therefore the customer needs to be informed.
From my experience the 'next station' message on-screen is usually played quite soon after the train has departed the previous station. The actual 'next station' announcement is played on approach as this sparks better response from customers; it signifies people who are alighting to make their way towards the doors.

Are there still Neasden terminators? I thought that all of the inter peak Neasden depot stablers did so via Wembley Park and the flyunder.

No harm in that for the audio announcements, but between those could not the display alternate between destination and next station?

..or between next station and an advert for free fraudulent insurance claim assistance? Nooooooooooooo!! Don't put the idea in their heads! Strangely enough today the Next station text appeared a lot earlier in the inter-station run (however still 1st half was "Destination" then switching to "Next Station".
