I think it has been mentioned but a long time ago. The photo of me playing with the S Stock simulator was during my last day in my last job - I got someone to cover me for an hour or two and snook out. The train models, with associated interlocking in various forms, was fascinating. My Flickr photos from the day FWIW are here.

Would you happen to have a picture or two of the model rail signal simulator? The ones by ianvisits are tantalizing but they don't show the full track system. I am looking for a good generic design for an exhibition layout and as I live in North American it is a bit tricky visiting!

I must be both a LU/LO geek and a sci-fi geek - have been a fan of Hobbs End for a long time (not quite as far back as 1927 though!)

Who needs fictional stations. Back in the 60s British Rail would sell you a through ticket to Mill Hill (The Hale) which wasn't on the map.
For most of my life I just assumed that this was an administrative error when the electrification through to Edgeware was abandoned. Only in the last few years did I discover that the ticket would have been valid on a bus.
