Next year is the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the London Passenger Transport Board. Are any special events planned, especially since it is a precursor organization to today's TFL?

Not as far as I'm aware. AIUI anniversaries that are being observed in some way next year are LU 150, and 60 years of entry into service of GS and country RF buses. |
