61 so far. Some are really fiendish. The fish one was easy.

I find it fascinating the clues that are straightforward to one person can really befuddle another...there is a masters degree thesis in their somewhere!!

I gave this quiz to my class to have a go (they're 9 years old). Within about 10 minutes I think they've got about 35, well more than I would have got. Just goes to show how brains work differently - horses for courses I suppose.

61 so far. Some are really fiendish. The fish one was easy. The fish only became easy for me towards the end. I noticed quite a few from the last Christmas Quiz so was amused to see our Quizmaster struggling with one of those stations. districtdave.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Quizzes&action=display&thread=18297I thought it was a good fun with a wide variety of types of links which forces you to think in ways you may not usually do. By using the tube it also allows you the option of a brute force attack using a tube map or writing a bit of code to run through a list of stations should you not have the time or inclination to do it out of you memory.

I finally finished last night after a few days dipping into it at work whilst waiting for tests ot finish.
The red fish was really annoying (I even tried Gillespie road!), and was held up for a long while by the one answer that isn't actually a tube station now!
Not sure what I'd do if I win the Virgin Media package though, as I've just signed up to a 12 month contract with Sky. (Wouldn't say no to the TV though!)

After several days and some help from UK friends, I was able to get all 75 plus the fish.
I had 74 of them entered and when I went to do the last one plus the fish, I had to start over. That took some time.
Anyway, I got registered for all three levels of prizes - but since I am in the US probably won't win - plus usually with games I always get the card that says, "Sorry!"
This game was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it. Right before I fell asleep last night, I was able to call up the picture in my mind and work my way around the rebuses (or is that rebi?) and get all the answers in my head. [Pretty sad, wot?]
From now on I when I hear, read, or see one of those station names, the rebus will pop into my mind.
Someone ought to do another with more of the stations.

Me and the other half have enjoyed working these out over the last week, just two to go - the white dog and the hay bale.... looks like everyone else has got them!

The trick with the dog is to know the exact name of the breed. And it's not an English breed name, either. I got it by brute force and then tried to work out why the clue was what it was. The hay one doesn't make a lot of sense.

my 11yr old has had a go, got quite a few, considering he isn't really interested in such things. He is not good at spelling, so got bored with us having to help him spell out the words.

Someone ought to do another with more of the stations. I completely agree! I don't have the artistic talent to do one quite like this, and my attempt at the Christmas Quiz last year was only on the simpler side so it won't be my doing!

Can someone put me and Mrs Pitdiver out of our misery and give us some hint for the four remaining stations that we can't find. Bale of Straw/Hay Skyline at Back of Picture Rat/Mouse with Cheese Man Shooting Gun on top of Building.
Thanks all Rob H

I'd have drawn a female sheep with a 1cwt fleece, and possibly another one standing in a painted box road marking. But I can't draw for toffee.

That was one of the first ones I got, so it didn't occur to me that you mightn't see that as other than maple leaves!
