Has anyone else noticed the new style of disruption announcements on the Underground?
The service is suspended between ________ and __________ while we fix a ___________ at ____________ .
Was it really necessary to waste time and effort to do this when the old way of announcing was perfectly acceptable.
However, they don't use the new style when referring to persons under trains - I suppose the "while we" part of it wouldn't sound very nice.

I must admit, I think then new style sounds more customer friendly, though... I'm sure we discussed this on here before though

its all lies- do i sound a little too cynical? Not at all. Far too much spin these days on LU, making things sound better than what they are! EDIT: A bit like on the service information boards where in the past, if a line was suspended ot had severe delays, it was white text on a blue background, which instantly stood out. Now, it's the same text and background as "Good Service." Looks far nicer for TFL, now that delays blend in with all the rest. Surely the idea is to make suspensions and severe delays stand out so that people can spot them more easily but no, we can't have people seeing bad things about LU.

Contrast, perhaps? White on blue might be considered too hard to read for those with certain visual impairments

Possible, but unlikely. I remember reading somewhere that Network Rail chose white on blue signage for their major stations because it was good for people with visual impairments (among other reasons).

Slightly off topic but, I have seen a few websites that have a built in (sorry no good with computer jargon) TfL line status board just like you see on the TfL website. The LOROL site has a built in journey planner that looks the same as the one on the TfL website: www.lorol.co.uk/Any chance we could have a journey planner or line status board on here?

It'd be simple enough to do, an admin would have to add the embed codes from here into the forum theme. The real question would be where to put them!

If the line statuses were available individually then in might be possible to have it displayed next to the title/description of the line boards on the forum index.
