i'm not sure how many trains are running now it might be 3 (101-106) but i'm not sure. I know 105 and 106 are in service, but I didn't know about any others in service. I would guess 104 is in service or will enter service very soon, because it was one of the first to be delivered.

I've twice been on 105-106 without trying! The first time Bank to Stratford direct and the second time Canning Town to East India a couple of days ago. I just assumed that was the only pair in service still.

I know that 104, 105, 106, 109, 112 and 113 are now in service. Others might be as well, but I haven't seen them.

No I dont think that any other trains apart from the above are in service. I was on 104/106 and I did Poplar - KGV - Bank and only saw trains 112 and 113 together. I didnt see 105 and 109 but I have seen them before.
I think they look really good but I couldnt take the door chimes. So loud and high pitched! Does anyone else think the trains are considerably quiter than the older stock? The DVA needs to change and the PIS needs to have an update or something because it takes a long time for it to change the next station Eg - When leaving LCA, the PIS kept saying: Next stop: London City Airport, and took a fairly long time to change to: Next stop: Pontoon Dock
What are your thoughts on them?

I've only been on them twice (106 in October, and 113 recently), and both times the DVA wasn't working, and on 113, I went from Canary Wharf to Lewisham and the displays in the train said that the next stop was Crossharbour, and that it was going to bank! I don't like the door chimes either.

Got my first ride on one of the new DLR trains today. Overall not bad - nice and bright inside, smooth-running and I like the extra glazing on the doors. Other than that, they're notsignificantly that much different to the pre-existing DLR stock, imo. As has been mentioned on here, the door chimes really are too loud though. I also thought the seats were a bit on the hard side.

I've noticed that the DVA is slightly different on the new trains - it uses the same voice, but it announces the destination of the train when it is at a station, not just between stations. The door chimes on the old trains can be loud if you are standing next to a door, but on the new trains it definately is too loud. I don't think the seats are that different to the seats on the other trains.

Not been on the DLR for ages, until today, when I went to Woolwich Arsenal. First train I got on destined for there was a new one - had unit 106 in it.
The train was being driven in ATP between West Silvertown and London City Airport.

I saw 106 yesterday, coupled to 104. 110 was running with 109, and 105 and another unit was in Poplar depot. There might be another unit in service as well as 110, so that 4 trains can be run with the new ones. EDIT: I forgot to say I heard some DLR staff talking about the new trains, I think they said that over 20 have been delivered and also something about problems testing unit 102.

As 120 is now in service, the second batch (units 125 - 155) should start to be delivered soon.

I've noticed in the last couple of days that the audible announcements are different on the new trains.
They are different as they announce the next station as you are leaving the previous station instead of just before you arrive at it, so as you leave Westferry it announces the next station is Limehouse. At the station it also announces the destination of the train as well as the station it is at. I think the old trains just announce the current station when at a station.

They also announce the station just before you arrive at it as well as departing the previous one.

Have they sorted out the high pitched door chimes?

I don't know, but I didn't really notice the door chimes when I was on 102 on Tuesday, so maybe they have changed them.

Hi all,
Went on these trains last week - they are lovely. I really admire the maximised use of glass with the doors, which make the trains feel more modern. The DVA is also far more easier to hear, and although it is the same DLR voiceover artist as the older rolling stock, it announces the terminus at each station, instead of waiting until the train is approaching the next station. DMIs are also easier to read.
Hope that information about the customer information system was useful!
