That calculation seems not to factor in the 36 tip up seats being used. On the TfL website at 4 passengers per m2 they have the A stock with a higher capacity than the S8. A8 seated 448, standing 597 = 1,045 S8 seated 306 + 36 tip ups, standing 697 = 1,033 I must add to the mix that there are the 16 tip up seats on top of the 448 seats on the A stock, which only on the DM cars and not as conspicuous as on the S stock, because they are set into the bodywork/flush. What are the 6 passengers per m2 figures for the D and S7 stocks?

Interesting. That calculation seems not to factor in the 36 tip up seats being used. There are 50 tip-ups on S8, 44 tip-ups on S7 these are included in the totals. What are the 6 passengers per m2 figures for the D and S7 stocks? D6 seated 280; standing 1 821= 1101 S7 seated 256; standing 1 1112= 1368 1At 6 passengers/m2 of floor area (‘Full Load’)

Many thanks for the D stock and S7 figures.
