just a quick question or thought relating to baker street, will the subsurface platforms ever be refurbished/modernised completely? i think it looks a little run down recently!

Baker street is in line for a multi million pound refurbishment. However much you won't see. The new platforms screens are the visible part of a comms upgrade which sees new CCTV & PA as well as an upgraded station control room. Much work will be done to reduce maintence costs. I believe Baker Street is the mist expensive station to maintain I understand the Met platforms are being repaired and re-tiled. The overbridge between platforms 1-4 was going to be replaced until local council got involved. Escalators 5&6 are being replaced late 2012. The subsurface platforms are receiving work but I forget to what extent. I will ask my insider when I see then next.
