Long live the 43 year old C stock trains while they are still here they can go anytime soon because there not many around so the cameras out take the photographers while they're still running around because they might vanish into the scrap yards sooner then U might think ?
Anyone like history like me myself will agree with the above statement what I have put
Thanks John

Can anybody tell me why someone told me that they are trying an s stock on that line Edgware Road to Wimbledon line Because it's true? Dose that mean if that goes ok that means that will go s stock will it I don't think there's much "if" about it. Certainly if it turns out that S stock is unable to go to Wimbledon for any reason (and Richmond and Ealing and Upminster for that matter), someone is going to have to come up with a Plan B PDQ.

Although S stock have been to Wimbledon a number of times, and they look likely to go in passenger service on the branch during February (I think the branch has also now been officially ok-ed). I think they've also been to every end of the district now, so their roll out is now (in theory) unstoppable.

There are due to be four S stocks running between Edgware Road and Wimbledon at some point in February. I also think that at the same time, the H&C / Circle will go effectively all S stock, with the odd C stock popping up from time to time.
C stock - the end is very nigh. There are already enough S7's in service to run the entire H&C, Circle and Edgware Road - Wimbledon services . . .

I hope there will be some C-stocks running on 1st Feb...was hoping for a last bash, and maybe an attempt at a "Full Circle" (which won't be helped by the lack of a Zone 1-2 Travelcard...gnnnghhh!).

Aren't 53 trans needs to go all S stock, only 45 (I think) are in London. There are 48 S7s in London (+3 S7+1s on MET), you could run the full timetabled H&C/Circle/Wimbledon-Edgware Road services with 41 trains (no spares).

From the above posts it looks like March might more or less see the end of C Stock.

Once you're inside the barrier on an Oyster, the clock is ticking, and unless a C-stock turns up almost straight away, it would be entirely possible to go beyond the maximum time allowed. Farringdon is the only station I can think of with yellow readers within easy reach on the platform...anyone know of any others?

So, not a problem to use PAYG then given that the maximum journey time allowance within Z12 is 110 mins on a Saturday and 120 mins on a Sunday. Just touch in and touch out at your origin. www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/14872.aspx

According to our latest traffic circular the Circle and H&C will be 100% S stock from 10 February

And I'm guessing that that will also see the start of S stocks on the Wimblewares Wimbledon to Edgware Road services

According to our latest traffic circular the Circle and H&C will be 100% S stock from 10 February Fantastic news, thanks for sharing. Once Wimbledon-edgware rd is done, will they immediately start scrapping D stocks or will there be a pause?

I daresay there will be a pause, although S stock deliveries will continue. They won't start scrapping the D stock until there are a few S stocks running on the main District. At some point, there'll be no spare stabling space, and it's then that the D stock will start to go.
EDIT: Is anything being planned in terms of an official last run?

TfL clearly wants to get rid of the C69/77 series due to their deteriorating condition. Then they will think about the D78.
