Noted on way home a short while ago that 6 cars of 'C' Stock were disposed of today via Northwood. The south end unit had already been taken away, the middle unit was 5567 and the north end unit couldn't be identified due to a passing train in the opposite direction.

Another 'C' Stock scrap train ran today. In Northwood Engineers' Siding this evening are 5507 and 5587. The formation is such that either one unit was disposed of earlier this afternoon or the train was just formed of the 2 units.

In LURS magazine this month, there’s a photo of Northwood sidings. It appears that current rail (not sure if this is electrified or not) has been installed. Also most interestingly is that the turnout used to reach the ramp has been removed and realigned parallel to the existing siding. This too appears to have current rail. So it would be useful to see how they are loading the trailers.

Any more C stock going this week? Amusing how little mourning there is for them compared to the hand-wringing we saw for the A stock...

Nothing new has made it to Northwood today. Unit 5507 has though been disposed of during the day with 5587 still in situ this evening.

Think this is the right thread for this, but how far are we from the 50/50 split between C stock and S stock, or has that moment already been and gone?

I may be way out but I think it's 30% S and 70% C.

Could even be lower than that taking the circle and wimbleware into account. It's only really on the Hammersmith and City line in which the s stock are a common occupancy at the moment

Taking today as an example: There were 9 S7 out of 14 H&C trains, there were 3 S7 out of 14 Circle, 0 S7 from 8 District (Wim-ERd). 14+ 9+ 14+ 3= 8 = 12. 36.

Is the priority making the H&C all -S7, or just getting the S7s out and about everywhere in passenger service?

The scheduled move to Northwood is tomorrow, the move today was from Hammersmtih to Neasden. 6-Car formation at Northwood this evening. Was getting dark when I passed on the NB fast but I believe the south end unit was 5590. Will check all tomorrow morning. 5587 and 6587 had gone by 0900 this morning.

Yesterday's T716 was formed at the north end by 5576. The middle unit was 5730. As I said last night, I believe the south unit was 5590 and if so, both 5590 and 6590 had been removed from site early this morning.

5504 and 5523 have arrived at Northwood today for disposal. The formation is such that there may have been a third unit which had already been removed by the time I passed the site 30 mins or so back.

The official list for today shows 5604 (N) - 5523 and 5579 (S).
It is 5579 and 6579 that have gone already.

Definitely 5604 - checked this morning. 5523 and 6523 gone for scrap by 9am. Looks like there is another 'C' Stock Train in Neasden Depot ready to make the same trip presumably Monday.
