Does anybody know when the R.A.T (1962 stock) operates?
If it is at all sooner, is there any timings for it?

I'm pretty sure it's stopped operating for this season. If you see heavy leaffall then get your hopes up. It's normally around Autumn/Winter.

Greetings
I can confirm the sandite season is over for the moment, normally runs from late september to mid december ( unless the wind's blown all the leaves down earlier )
Both Sandite Trains are visable (at the moment) from a Central Line, or Chiltern Line train passing Ruislip Depot

The 8(?) car RAT was heading west through Hanger Lane at 1436 this afternoon (3.2.12).
Just out for a test or something more?

The 8(?) Just out for a test or something more? Andy Not out for testing Andy, but out on *duty*. Expect to see the R.A.T. out and about even more as the Olympix approach. The *Rapid. Assimilation. Train.* is converted to another use when it's not spraying goo on the rails. It's collecting stuff to make the goo from......... You ever seen the hoppers on the R.A.T. Andy? You ever seen the wood chipper scene in the film *Fargo* Andy? Ever wonder what happens to those who stick their footsies in the doors Andy? I'll tell you.............. ............"Stand Clear Of The Closing Doors" is ignored as an Evening Standard "reporter" lunges for the doors, can't quite get in, so sticks it's footsie in the doors expecting the overpaid-always-on-strike driver on £61k to do a reopen. Well Andy it don't happen. The driver punches an emergency code into his radio and quick as a flash the R.A.T. materialises directly behind. Burly men in leather hangman's hoods and matching butcher's aprons leap from the R.A.T. seize the footsie in the doors transgressor, drag it into the R.A.T and feed it into the hoppers. A high pitched grinding noise ensues that fades as the R.A.T. returns to it's original coordinates. Et Voila! Another batch of adhesive glue is created to be mixed with sand that will be sprayed onto the track for next autumn's leaf fall season.....................It's called recycling rubbish Andy. Rubbish that makes thing up.............

While I can generally make out what auxsetreq is trying to convey in his quirky postings in this case I haven't really got a clue what he's on about.

I think he's saying that they salt the tracks with seasoned commuters. Or season the track with salty commuters. Or maybe just Evening Standard reporters. Hack on the track.
