I can't actually think of a case where a trainstop would be ON and its associated signal displaying CLEAR unless the air hose had burst and the red light had burnt out. A900 approaching Baker Street platform 2 northbound. The signal displays a green to keep trains moving over the junction, but the trainstop stays on until the train is down to (IIRC) 15mph. Confession time... When I first discovered that, it was to my cost!

That and VK2 at Finsbury Park are the only two I can think of. Of course Finsbury Park is maintained by Vic line signals and as a Picc lineman the only work I did there was occasional IMR relay changing and SPT maintenance/routines so I was never really familiar with the signalling there. VK1 and VK2 are both Picc signals!

When I first discovered that, it was to my cost! ;D Yes, that is normally when this anomaly is discovered ;D Still, at least you can say you were caught out by an anomaly, and you never passed a signal displaying a red aspect - which of course is much worse. Drivers are not expected to go around watching trainstops after all. They are just asked to obey signals and...er... speed limits ;D

Haha, remember it well because I felt like a donut sitting there in front of the passsengers anyway but then when we moved off I got rear tripped... ;D
