Hello everyone, I have been reading these great forums for about two weeks now, and I decided to join. I have a trip to London with some friends coming up, about mid-July or early June. I was interested in taking photographs of underground rolling stock, so I am curious as to where I can obtain quality photographs of rolling stock. 1. Is there any location to photograph the 1967 stock above ground? 2. Are the 1983 and 1972 Mk I stock completely scrapped, or can I still possibly photograph a few remaining units? 3. Is it possible for me get photographs at a depot, or is that pretty much impossible? 4. Finally, is there one single location that the refurbished D stock are being stored, or is there a location which you would recommend to visit to take pictures? I'm looking to get quality pictures of pretty much every stock in use, plus the 1983 and 1972 mkI, and I would gladly share them with the forum if I am able to take any during my trip

1. They only come above ground at Northumberland Park depot
2. I think there may be some 83ts still in CFS depot but they are in poor condition
3. You may be able to get photos from bridges or from behind fences
4. A lot seem to be around Ealing Common Depot when i've been around that area recently

4. Finally, is there one single location that the refurbished D stock are being stored, or is there a location which you would recommend to visit to take pictures? If you're there at the right time there may be a Refurb stabled in Parons Green sidings, photographs are possible from the end of the platform, you might need a decent zoom through. (preferably optical for a better result) Take a look at chrisrailwaypics.fpic.co.uk/p13813171.html to see what the area looks like.

Sorry to kind of bump this, but I'd thought I'd let everyone know that my trip to London this summer has fallen through. I was goin with a friend and his family, but they backed out earlier this month. I will try and get over there during spring break in April or next summer. Sorry!

If you come over next spring you may be able to get a photo of a 2009 stock! Although it depends on whether it will be allowed out of the sheds, let alone on the line during traffic hours. I havn't tried to work out any good photo vantage points of Northumberland Park depot yet.
There will certainly be a lot more refurbished D-stock, and part of the Jubilee may be testing in ATO.
