How were the windows in pre 92ts fixed in? Rubber glazing strips on most 60's and 70's fleets. Like automotive practice of similar times.

Ahh right, were those more reliable Not altogether, both rubber glazing strip and rubber mastic methods are known to leak, as well as the more modern bonded method. Quite a few D78 side windows had to be removed and refitted during their refurb programme. The A stock refurb included 100% new though in view of the longer time they had run and had left to run at the time.
