Are there any major differences between '95 Northern Line and '96 Jubilee Line stock?

The 1995TS uses IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) in its traction packaging, leading to the low-frequency growling sound that a 95 makes when it is accelerating or rheo-braking.
The 1996TS uses GTOs (Gate Turn-Off Thyristors) in its traction packaging, leading to the "gear-changing" high-frequency sound you hear when a 96 is accelerating or rheo-braking.
Other than that, it's all detail stuff.

Also the detrainment ramps are different in design and operation and the first few units of 96 stock have slightly higher/smaller cab centre door windows. Besides that the northern 95's are described as advanced compared to the 96 stock. Still rubbish interiors though lol

Still rubbish interiors though lol Yup, too much yellow and white. Doesnt help with a multitude of hues from the many different flourescent tube lights. OK to drive tho...
