were these trains restricted in performance to match the 1983 stock in any way? its hard to remember as the 83ts left so quick

Apparently the 1996 stock don't run the entire line at max performance, they are doing work to change the signalling and make the trains ATO.
I'm not sure though as i'm young and only have brief memories of the 83 stock.

Most of the jubilee line is now operating in TBTC/ATO I thought trains run on full power under TBTC. It may feel slower because of the regulation server at Neasden which is going trains lower target speeds to drive to. Under the new timetable trains should be pretty much unrestricted.
