Good! Privatisation and outsourcing fails again. What about the Northern line? And are Bombardier still taking over the SSL as was planned under Metrodebt?

Good! Privatisation and outsourcing fails again. What about the Northern line? And are Bombardier still taking over the SSL as was planned under Metrodebt? Privatisation of the many departments of LU was always going to be a disaster in financial terms just as devolution of operating departments created multiple parallel management functions which in the current financial climate really ought to be difficult to justify but which in any case can be seen very much as empire building from the very beginning. I thought that Metronet had returned to the fold so to speak and become part of LUL once more. I understand that Tube Lines remain contractors but are to lose all signal maintenance work except for emergency call which will lead to redundancies and had presumed that Metronet would thus be taking it over as the 'in house' signalling division. Perhaps the picture is far more distorted now than it appeared just a couple of months ago!

Doesn't the fact that tube lines still exists (even though owned by tfl at this time) suggest a possible future reprivatization?

'D' stock on the Jubilee line? ;D ;D Well, maybe that's been the problem all along - it would certainly cause a few delays..............
