There has been a thread about the removal of the crossover just north of Finchley Road from the NB Met to the NB Jubilee (decommissioned on 25/7/04). More recently the junction route indicator on the NB starting signal MD32 has been removed - and it was never put on the co-acting signal anyway.
With the new TBTC signalling operative Dollis Hill - Stratford, Met trains are banned from running on the SB Jubilee (not that they were ever welcome!). To that end, I notice that No.21 crossover from the SB Jubilee to the SB Met has been decommissioned too, which also prevents Met trains reversing south to north in the SB Met platform at Finchley Road. One small section of track on that crossover has been removed and the SB Jubilee track "plain lined". A photo that I have seen, taken in July 2010, shows this to have been done by then.
Can anyone help as to when No.21 crossover was officially decommissioned?

The Controllers' diagram revision history shows: 11.02.10 - 21A & 21B points secured normal......also NB Metropolitan Line link to NB Jubilee Line north of Finchley Road removed. 11.03.08 - Removal of 22A points at Finchley Road.

Will the connections at Neasden be removed? Indeed have they been removed? I think the NB one has been?

Has it? Don't suppose Harsig or someone has any plans as to what the simplification will eventuall provide? At a stroke both quail 5 and Joe Browns rail atlas are out of date...
And who wants to make the obvious comment?

Non-TBTC stock can now only access the Bakerloo via the Jubilee by means of an "Enhanced Engineers Current Area"

What exactly does "Enhanced Engineers Current Area" mean? Can this happen with TBTC on, can it happen during service?

Will the connections at Neasden be removed? Indeed have they been removed? I think the NB one has been? Ironically, as I write, one of the sets of points that forms one of the connections (the northbound one) is causing the all-day "minor delays" on the Met line. The points in question have long been unreliable, and of late have been out of use, but today they were found to have a rail defect. Anyway. Removal of any connections would be foolish - but as has been seen at Finchley Road, it is far easier / cheaper to remove the connections than have to install signalling that can take account of the connection. Neasden (southbound) gives access to Neasden depot for both Met and Jub. Removing this connection would limit the Jub to using just Wembley. The Neasden (northbound) connection can be lived without - given that for around 8 months of the year the points can't be used anyway due to defects. However, it is a useful connection, used regularly by engineers trains returning from the Bakerloo / Jubilee to Ruislip depot. To be honest, Finchley Road was never "planned" in terms of consulting the Met etc. Half was done by claiming the points were of similar design to those which were involved in the Camden Town derailment. The other half were plain-lined after becoming defective, and the spare parts have so far remained unavailable. So who knows what will happen.

Neasden / Wembley connections to remain as is, and all to be renewed in the next few years as far as I know. I believe that is the reason new 3 aspect (red/green/blue) TBTC signals are on the ends of Neasden JL platforms (not in use yet though) - to enable Met and Jub trains to use the JL platforms for moves in and out of the depot.

If they install "S8" stopping chevrons on the JL platforms at Neasden, then I will be inclined to believe you.
It has been several years since a Met train touched onto Jubilee Metals.

And these days we'd be insisting on OPO TV even if just empty stock, etc, etc. Someone might try 'boarding' the train after all...
