If the information wasn't sent directly to the CSA on the platform (I'd guess it would be more likely to go to the control room), it could be that whoever receives it is busy dealing with an important matter elsewhere in the station and don't have time to pass it on to the person on the platform at that moment.

Correct, and along with what Colin has said, all very valid reasons for the information not making to the platform. |
