In the same way, on the "mainline" Emergency Ground Frames exist, do they have the same (or similar) on LU metals?

Totteridge and Whetstone is the last one left IIRC. Personally bought by Robert Dell, if memory serves.
There is also one EGF on the Wimbo branch at East Putney, but I think that is maintained by NR.

Oh yeah; I always forget about Royal Oak! Is there actually a ground frame there, or is everything clipped up and scotched?

Seems like it - aren't Hanger Lane EB loose points (or has that recently changed)?

Seems like it - aren't Hanger Lane EB loose points (or has that recently changed)? They are still loose points (so are one set at Ealing Broadway). The ones at Hanger Lane can also be worked over via a hand worked lever on the ground (not sure about Ealing Broadway)
