No Z1 stations?
The zones are 2,4, 2/3 and 5.

It's not to do with zones.
You sort of need to think back in time......

Uh, count me out then. If it doesn't have anything about them being end of line at the time built, that is.
[EDIT: oh, what a horrible grammar in there]

Hmmm.... Timing is part of the answer.....
As I said earlier, you need to look more at the destinations today, then think back in time......

Could it be that they have all been timing points in bygone days?

Could it be that they have all been timing points in bygone days? I don't know whether they have all been or not, which should give you the clue that this isn't part of the answer! Timing points are a bit close to the coalface as it were for the the answer to this hidtory question.

Okay Archway opened as Highgate in 1907 is the oldest of the four sites and the only one located on the Hampstead Tube as originally built.

Okay Archway opened as Highgate in 1907 That's part of the answer, but (as I think I said earlier) Archway isn't the odd one out.

Kennington is the one which has never been part of the (or a) line name?

So we can rule out the Hampstead tube then The extensions from/to the sites have been ruled out even though three were in the 20s and the fourth in the 30s. That seems to rule out the time/location hints that have been suggested too!

Kennington is the one which has never been part of the (or a) line name? That's as close as it needs to be. On 12 November 1933 what is now the Northern Line was named "Edgware, Highgate & Morden Line", Archway was named "Highgate" at the time, so Kennington is the only one not to feature in the line name
