OK I know I have mentioned this within another post on the Overground section, but I found it so amusing (my crazy sense of humour) and thought some of our District line peeps mite not be interested in the Overground id put it here as well hope nobody minds: Also interestingly when you try and book a ticket on thetrainline.co.uk for Kew Gardens to Richmond... the standard day single is £1.50 .. and the other ticket option available is FIRST DAY SINGLE for £7.65... but you can only select to buy this ticket for UNDERGROUND journey only, ie not silverlink trains :S I wonder what would happen if I ordered one of these tickets and tried looking for the first class on the District line train, then complained to TFL that I had been sold a first class ticket for a district line journey... ha ha

Nah there isn't any option to select that ticket type, for any silverlink journey nor is there any other than standard on the train... well certainly the metros anyway

The only first class section on a District line train is the front cab and it's fully booked

I have travelled first class on Silverlink Metro, its a seat where the seat cover is intact, and the window is free of scratches.

One if you're lucky. First Class went out on the District in Feb 1940 I think. The last cars built with first class would have been some of the new Q38 trailers-they didn't last long! In fact some cars entered service after the end of first class-weird!
