Has anyone else noticed that lots of C stocks lately seem to have squeaky brakes? They make a horrible high pitched noise coming to a stop.
Anyone know why? Or have I only just noticed it?

New brake blocks, p'raps? Or those with different metallic components?

I've noticed that lately,could be with the shortage of stock units are getting well overdue for exam.These compo blocks have a metal backing,if they're well worn,maybe the backing is acting as the block,could give the screeching noise.

More than they already squeaked, you mean? I used to live in those flats behind Westbourne Park station and can well remember how squeaky their brakes were.
