Does anyone know whether or not the existing 3-aspect MAS on the Richmond and Wimbledon branches will be replaced with 4-aspect MAS after the remainder of the District is changed over to the all-singing all-dancing DTG ATO signalling?
I would be amazed if ATO was actually planned for these stretches - the headaches inherent in matching DTG ATO with fixed MAS would probably be 'interesting' to say the least.

Well.........the signalling capacity could certaily do with being increased; bearing in mind that NR stock takes longer to stop, I think 4 aspect multi-aspect signalling would be a sensible move. Who knows what the bean counters are thinking though

I can't see why a 4 aspect signalling system cannot be interfaced with the new ATO system, as long as all parties involved can interface their various technologies. There are quite a few webpages about interfacing ATO systems with conventional signalling systems. However in practise there arn't too many examples!
