Upminster has, for some time, had under construction some new shed roads, i believe hosuing new cleaning roads and a wheel lathe. Yesterday, 26/2/07 was the first time I have actually seen a train on one of the roads ! Picture attached ... taken on my phone hence the poorer than usual quality !

Indeed it is up and running as of last week. The road that the train is on in your picture is the wheel lathe road. The intention is that one unit a day will go in there for the wheels to be done. I'm not sure if the other two roads, the cleaning roads, are ready for use as yet.

Which side of the existing depot is the new shed? Its between the existing depot roads and the down C2C line.
