Mainly an observation for my esteemed District collegues .... Anyone else noticed EC300 now clears much quicker and before you reach the (former ?) speed / timing track ? I first noticed on Sunday, I assume there is a new timing / speed section in rear of the old one ... since the fact EC300 clears to green quicker is not followed by the fact EC3 is green. It is just as likely to be red still. In fact I am bemused as to why EC3 and EC300 can not be cleared in advance, after all ...I just want to see somthing other than a yellow aspect on REC300(1) and REC300(2). lol ;D Do my collegues also consider EC300 as misleading, after all it clears to green WITHOUT a repeating aspect for EC3, despite the fact EC3 can not be seen from EC300 and has almost no sighting time at all if a train ex-olympia is waiting at EC1 ??

Who hasn't been reading the traffic circular then? ;D ;D ;D Traffic circular #49 (page4): I think it is misleading from the point of view that it is an associated draw up to EC3 - but you will have dropped your speed anyway to make EC3 clear, so I suppose (in theory at least) you are already at a speed which should enable you to stop in time. My training taught me to be careful in that area, so I don't go racing through there anyway.

all the speed control signals are having the inductor system taken out of commision this is being done by a outside contractor the first around earls court was EC29 (fogot number could be ec 290) this was done for start of traffic last saturday Ec 300 was the nest one to be done and then EC 100 followed by WB 2 (west ken junction signal for olympia) the other circuit which is the 2nd shot is a 4 1/2 sec time delay relay but this gets overridden if the signal in front is clear already i.e if EC3 is clear then EC300 would be clear also
now the reason for these being taken out is due to lack of spares of the power packs and very nasty stuff inside them
